Business AI is moving from simply accessing models to letting AI complete work with clear controls. Cisco is rolling out a supervised AI assistant that can complete multi-step tasks across 90,000 employees, while Google is combining model choice with live operational data inside one platform. Cisco Google Cloud At the same time, Anthropic's court win, its reported chip discussions, Tencent's open model, and insurers' policy reviews all point to the same pressure: the scarce asset is no longer access to AI. It is the ability to control what the system can do, prove what happened, and price the risk when it acts. Reuters Reuters

// The Take

The most consequential shift is the normalization of supervised AI execution across the enterprise, not another model release. The broken assumption is that the hard part is finding a capable model. The forced decision is whether to build the control, data, who or what is allowed to use each system, and measurement layer that lets the business delegate work without delegating accountability.

The contrarian question: If your agents can act across systems today, why is your AI effort still funded as a collection of software subscriptions instead of as a redesign of the company?
